Fermentation-Derived Protein Isolate

Fermentation-derived protein isolate (FDPI) is a sustainable protein derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, commonly known as baker’s yeast, a type of microorganism used in brewing beer and baking bread. FDPI is rich in the nine essential amino acids that your body cannot produce on its own and must obtain from food. It’s also a source of high-quality protein with excellent bio-availability—your body quickly absorbs it and uses it effectively.

Climate and environment do not influence FDPI production, so it’s an environmentally friendly option — according to studies, FDPI carbon emissions are significantly lower than those emitted in beef or dairy production. FDPI is a relevant and effective alternative to animal protein and other plant proteins.

Five Benefits of FDPI

  • FDPI is a complete protein, 100% derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentation
  • FDPI contains > 80% protein, with a protein digestibility corrected amino acid score (PDCAAS) of 1.0. This means it adequately provides all nine essential amino acids, and you can digest it fully
  • FDPI contains > 21% branched-chain amino acids that help to support muscle growth and recovery during exercise
  • FDPI is a slow-digesting protein, so it increases satiety and provides a continuous and regular supply of amino acids
  • FDPI helps maintain intestinal balance, increases microbial diversity, and promotes short-chain fatty acids, which are crucial for digestive health and can fight inflammation throughout your body as well as combat certain diseases

Composition of FDPI protein

  • Non-animal
  • Allergen-free
  • Gluten-free
  • Dairy-free
  • Environmentally friendly and sustainable
  • Neutral flavour, clean taste
